Tony is highly committed to ensuring that every individual experiences success. To that end, Field-Based STEM have designed field trips and follow up in such a way that the student and teacher can assess for themselves the next step in the learning journey.
Generally, field trips are a sociable activity, but they also provide significant opportunities before, during and after for independent learning.
Every outcrop of rock, measurement or surface feature provides a wide range of potential interpretations from simplistic to highly detailed. Learners leave the site with different levels of understanding and this impacts on the follow up research that is accessible to each learner.
Field Based STEM organise field trips so as to encourage learners to share their understanding so that independent learning packages can be tailored to each learner.
